What does Mrs. Clarke do in the summer?

I sort, clean, tidy and organize,...of course.  On top of trying to spend time with my family to make up for the time I've been busy.

End of the Year Clean Out

Twelve Years teaching Kindergarten at Osler means you've spent a LOT of your money on resources and things to make your program engaging and meaningful for students.  I filled my garage with all my stuff and cleared out the room for a summer-clean out. Guess what I'm doing over the summer....I'm sorting through my accumulated stuff.  Now hubby will KNOW how much I've spent on my students and classroom.....EEEK!!!!

A BIG THANK YOU goes out to all the parents and family members who came to our Primary Learning Celebration Picnic. Our students enjoyed sharing their talents with you and spending time with you at their school.  Thank you also for the Pot Luck healthy snacks.  It was a great afternoon.

BEACH & WATER FUN DAY

Fri., June 19 is our Beach and Water Fun Day. 

Students are asked to bring the following:

• a towel
• a change of clothes
• sunscreen
• a refillable water bottle
• a hat
• sunglasses
• a squirt/spray bottle.

Please DO NOT bring:

• bathing suits
• water guns

Students will be engaging in water play and celebrating the spirit of going to the beach.

Primary Learning Celebration Picnic

REMINDER:

Thurs., June 18 is our Primary Learning Celebration Picnic.  Students in JK, SK, Grade 1, 2 & 3 and their parents will participate.  Students have worked hard to learn songs, skits, and music to share with our parents and to celebrate all our successes and achievements this year!

Picnic begins at 2:10 with parents and students mingling in our Inquiry Play Yard.  Performances should begin shortly afterward, followed by refreshments.  Thank you to all who will be bringing in some Potluck items for our snack tables.  Teachers are providing beverages, cake, plates, cups, cutlery, napkins and the entertainment of our hard-working students.

Backwards and Twin Day

Fri., June 12 is our "Backwards & Twin Day."  Come to school dressed like a peer (twins) or wear your clothes backwards.

Dress Up Day

Just a reminder that tomorrow (Tues., June 8, 2015) is our Dress Up Day.  Students can come to school dressed up in their fanciest clothes or wear a costume.  Please remember no accessories with your costume.  Just the clothing items.

Hat Day - Thurs., June 4, 2015

This is a reminder that Thurs., June 3 is our Primary Hat Day. Wear you favourite, silliest or crazy hat to school.

Garden Clean Up

We're slowly getting the gardens and yards cleaned up.

A special thank you for Mrs. Chandler's boys (William and Jordan) who came in on yet another of their weekends to help us.  Mrs. Chandler and I are thrilled to be able to finally see the little plants trying to grow through the pile of leaves.  More to tackle later.

PAJAMA DAY

Just a reminder that Thursday, April 30th is our Pajama Day.  Students can come dressed in their pajamas.  Please leave the pillows, blankets and stuffies at home.  Just PJs.

REMINDER - Our VESEY Flower orders are due tomorrow.  If you haven't done so already, please send in your order forms and payment on Friday, April 24th.

Light it up Blue

REMINDER - Tomorrow is "LIGHT IT UP BLUE" for Autism Day.  We're asking everyone to wear blue tomorrow to show our support.

FIELD TRIP REMINDER

Tomorrow is our field trip to the Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto.  Please dress comfortably for an indoor day and pack a lunch.  It should be an enjoyable day!

It's GREEN DAY today.

Just a reminder that today (Fri., March 13) is our GREEN DAY.  We're celebrating St. Patrick's Day a little earlier since it occurs over March Break.  Students are asked to wear their green today.

Today is the Grade 8 Bake Sale at Osler.

Mrs. Melo's Last Day

Tomorrow (Friday, March 6, 201) will be Mrs. Melo's last day with us as she will be beginning her Maternity Leave.  She promise to visit us and to bring her new addition to see us.  We wish her all the best on her newest parenthood adventure.

REMINDER - CARNAVAL is tomorrow

Tomorrow is our "CARNAVAL" day.  This is our winter carnival.  Students are asked to dress warmly for the weather as most of our events will be held outside.
