About the Early Learning Kindergarten

Osler ELK: Early Learning Kindergarten is a full-day, every-day program. It is a play and inquiry-based learning delivery under the supervision and guidance of a Regular Classroom Teacher (RCT) and a Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE). Students learn through centers, play, stations, whole-group lessons, small-group lessons and individual one-on-one guided sessions. When you're having so much fun, you actually forget that you're learning new stuff!

Our Early Learning Kindergarten Calendar

About Mrs. Clarke

Mrs. Clarke is a Regular Classroom Teacher. She has been teaching for 15 years (Special Education, Primary, Junior and Kindergarten).

She is a Mom, a wife and a teacher. She has 2 children aged 7 1/2 years and 10 years. She is an avid camper and loves to hike, bike and explore the outdoors.

She loves to teach and loves to learn. She often implements new ideas delved from workshops, courses and collaboration with colleagues to help bring fun, interesting and enriched lessons and activities into her classroom.

Literacy is a passion of hers and she enjoys sharing her love of reading and learning to read with her students.

About Mrs. Melo

Mrs. Melo is a Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE) for our Early Learning Kindergarten class. She has had many years experience as an ECE/DECE in child-care centers and daycare facilities, working with babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and kindergarten-aged children.

She is a mother to three wonderful children, a wife, a coach and a passionate teacher. She enjoys sharing her love of inquiry, exploration and hands-on learning with young learners.
